2022 Takacat T420LX Inflatable Catamaran
The 2022 Takacat T420LX combines true portability with the space, stability, and outboard capacity needed for larger crews and demanding applications. Its 22-inch tubes, 6-foot-1-inch beam, raised high-pressure air deck, and catamaran hull create a wide, stable platform for fishing, hunting, diving, coaching, rescue support, and family recreation.
2022 Heavy-Duty Tube Transom
The 2022 model is equipped with Takacat's Heavy-Duty Tube Transom®. Its square-section 304 stainless-steel transom bars use 2 mm wall thickness for added rigidity and improved support when paired with larger outboard motors.
Factory warranty: Takacat North America provides a three-year warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms and exclusions.
Large Capacity Without the Trailer
At 13 feet 9 inches long, the T420LX is one of the largest genuinely portable inflatable catamarans in the Takacat lineup. The removable Tube Transom® allows the hull, floor, transom, and accessories to pack into two carry bags for transport and storage without a conventional boat trailer.
The open bow makes boarding from a beach, dock, larger vessel, or the water easier, while the raised deck and open stern allow water to drain continuously instead of collecting inside the boat.

Outboard Compatibility
The T420LX is designed for a short-shaft outboard. A 9.9–15 HP motor is the recommended range, with a listed maximum of 20 HP.
For gas outboards of 10 HP or more, a properly matched Permatrim Hydrofoil Plate can help address ventilation or cavitation issues commonly encountered on lightweight catamaran-style boats.
