What does Great Lakes Watercraft think?
The 2023 Cruise 10.0T is prepared for commercial duty with its robust design, aluminum pylon and reinforced fin for protection against impact damage. The tiller model was designed in response to demand from the workboat, expedition cruise and eco-tourism markets.
As we specialize in Dinghies from the Takacat lineup, we recommend that this motor only be used with the larger size boats. Namely the T420LX and the T460LX. Depending on boat size and payload, this 20 HP motor will make your Takacat FLY. A Takacat T460LX with a payload of ~800 lbs can expect top speeds of 20+ mph.
Yes, we know. The Torqeedo Cruise Series bundles are much more expensive than a gas-powered outboard of the same horsepower. That being said, having a quiet, robust electric drive system with enough battery capacity to go all day is something special. Of course the additional added benefit is boating in an environmentally safe manner. It's an objective to introduce innovation that can help protect our Great Lakes and waterways hear in Michigan and across all of North America.
