T340LX assembly feedback from a dealer

April 28, 2020

I met up with a potential customer and assembled a T340LX with him.  It took roughly 20 to 25 minutes to assemble.  I'm confident that I could get this down to 15 minutes with practice.  The electric pump is a must! I think most customers will want to purchase an electric pump.  The transom poles are tough to insert into the rubber on the tubes, especially the first time.  I recommend using dishwashing soap on the poles and on the rubber.  Once constructed, I really liked the boat.  It's very well designed and constructed.  The open bow, over inflated tubes, and lifted floor with nonskid surface makes it unique to every other inflatable boat that I've seen.  Even without taking it out on the water, you can tell the boat will perform based on the design.  Since the floor is air lifted, there is minimal drag in the water resulting in lower horsepower required for planing and higher speed at every horsepower compared to competitors.  Given all of the YouTube product reviews, I don't yet see any concern for customers.  The T340LX is roughly 75 lbs and very manageable, especially with the wheels.  With the oar attachments, this is a really nice, high-end inflatable dinghy that is rowable.  I think it would be great with a 5, 8, or 10 hp engine.
